Those people who want to run our live for us - the EU, are now telling us that we will
have to take tough new driving and medical tests at 50. In Euro speak it is the new
Brussel's Driving Directive. Most people at 50 today are fitter than ever before and the
safest driving age group on the road. The RAC has even said the effort would be better
targeted at younger drivers who crash far more than older ones.

What's the motive behind all this then? This is only the start in 5 or 10 years anyone
over 50 will have to take a test every couple of years. It is an ageist transport reducing
policy. Get older drivers off the road. This is the political culture of exclusion - old
or disabled you are outside.
