After successful clinical trials, a new pill to fight Alzheimers made from daffodil bulbs will be available this week. Galantamine made from the juice of the bulbs has brought about improvement in 60 to 70% of patients being treated, ameliorating the symptoms and stopping the disease progressing further. A synthetic form of Galantamine, released under the trade name Reminyl will be available in selected NHS hospitals later this week I will try to find out more. Besom.
